Produce an word essay discussing two drugs you will be prescribing within your area of expertise. The essay should include the pharmacological profile (pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics) of your chosen drugs relevant to your clinical environment.
You are also expected to include a completed Drug Monograph proforma for each drug discussed within your appendix.

4. Assessment criteria
In completing this assignment, the student should demonstrate the following Learning Outcomes:
1. Understand and critically apply knowledge of drug actions, interactions and reactions within their clinical practice and demonstrate knowledge of how to report adverse drug reactions
2. Demonstrate a critical understanding of the development of new drugs and their introduction onto the prescribing market
3. Critically appraise information sources/advice and decision support systems in prescribing practice
4. Demonstrate a critical understanding of the variety of factors that will influence the prescribing decisions made within their area of clinical practice and their outcomes
5. Critically explore the influences that can affect prescribing practice
6. Demonstrate the ability to perform appropriate and correct drug calculations
7. Evaluate information sources relating to treatment options and make appropriate prescribing decisions in relation to individual patient/clients need within their area of clinical practice
