First, you will need to select a political cartoon to discuss. Go to this website and choose one cartoon:
(Please note – your cartoon cannot be more than one year old)
Once you have chosen your cartoon, write a short paper that answers the following four questions:
1. Briefly describe the issue or event that the cartoon is depicting.
2. Does the cartoon contain any symbols? What might these represent?
3. Does the cartoon depict any real people? If so, who?
4. What does the overall message of the cartoon/cartoonist seem to be?
