Candidates create a Power Point or other multi-media presentation which:
-Defines a contemporary educational issue ( Undocumented Students)
-Situates it in an historical, legal, and political context
-Presents various perspectives on the issues
-Describes proposed ways of addressing the issue, including public policy.
-Analyzes the impact of solutions’ impact on the education of students with disabilities, low-income students, English language learners, or other historically under-served populations.
-Does this issue impact on adolescents? If so, how. If not, why not?
-Describes the candidate’s position on how the issues should be addressed so as to improve educational equity of access, opportunity, or achievement and situates this position in the context of the candidate’s educational philosophy.
-Provides action steps educators could take to advocate the proposed solutions.
You will post your finished product. YOU SHOULD HAVE AT LEAST 10 BUT NO MORE THAN 20 SLIDES.
Please be sure to include a bibliography on all references in your presentation. It can be a separate submission or as part of your presentation, at the end.
