Imagine that you have just joined Amazon’s management support team as a cybersecurity advisor. Amazon’s CEO, Andy Jassy, has requested that your team write a brief memo explaining the ransomware problem and what steps Amazon could take to lead the private sector in stopping the proliferation of ransomware attacks. He was not specific regarding whether the memo’s focus should be on how Amazon can protect its customers or the private sector.
You have been tasked with writing the first draft of the memo. Assume that your supervisor will accept your first draft and deliver it directly to Andy Jassy. Your memo must be in Times New Roman, 12 pt. font, have 1-inch margins all around, and be double-spaced.
Your memo should be between 5 and 6 pages, and the bibliography page will not count toward this limit.
At least seven reliable sources must support your ideas.
Attention to detail:
1. Attention to detail. This includes: a) grammar, b) organization, c) word choice, d) spelling and e) context. By context, I mean that your memo is taking into account the capabilities that Amazon has. For example, they can’t force other private companies to do things, but they can persuade them through business strategies.
