Go to the Market Watch, Money Central, or Yahoo Finance websites to locate strategy evaluation information regarding Amazons financial performance and analysts thoughts on their overall strategy going forward. Performance information on competitors can also help put into perspective an organizations own performance.
Address the following in your report:
How have revenues and profits trended over the past 5 years? Project how you think it will trend (up, down, flat?) going forward? Why?
Provide a summary of Amazons strategies over the past 5 years and your conclusions regarding their effectiveness. Based on your analysis, do you feel Amazon is pursuing the correct strategies?
What recommendations related to future strategy, would you offer to Amazons board of directors?
