1. Identify a population within your practice or area of interest that experiences inequities, health disparities, general social justice issues, and/or is marginalized.
Population selected is a male individual suffering from mental illness and addition – Interview location local park, public setting
2. Review the literature surrounding the issues experienced by the population. Use at least 6 references from scholarly, peer-reviewed resources/reputable resources.
3. Devise at least 6 interview questions with the purpose to gain insight from the interviewee regarding social justice issues, carefully crafted to avoid leading, inflection of bias/discrimination etc.
4. Arrange for the interview to occur where the interviewee would feel comfortable/safe. For example, the interview may take place at a community based service where the individual receives services, the individuals home (if safe), the individuals church etc. (versus an area where the power is held such as a supervisors/faculty office).
5. Obtain permission, disclose the purpose of the assignment, and interview at least one member of the identified population (Important: Do not disclose the identity the individual in any way within your paper-use the term interviewee within your paper and to cite).
