Complete: Chapter 9 Assignment
Janie is one of the most athletic students in your 4th grade physical education class and you really enjoy working with her because she loves every lesson plan you do. Janie has just received a diagnosis of Exercise Induced Asthma and she does not understand what that means. She is worried that she can never play sports again, and this makes her sad. In order to help her, please first tell her about the pulmonary system and why it is important, and also why Oxygen is necessary for her body to live and function, especially as an athlete. After you explain the main functions of the pulmonary system and Oxygen, please explain to Janie what happens during an asthma attack and why she should monitor herself for signs and symptoms of an attack. Lastly, explain her diagnosis Exercise-Induced Asthma and discuss what her inhaler medication will do to help her if she has an attack in PE class or during activity.
Your response should be .5-1 page in length and utilize terms that Janie, a 4th grader, can understand. Grammar and punctuation errors will result in point deductions.
