Part I
1. First Identify a school district or campus that you are using for this assignment. It can be one that you are involved with, have knowledge of, or in the jurisdiction where you live. THE NAME OF THE SCHOOL OR LOCATION CAN BE LEFT WITH XXXXXXXXXX I WILL FILL IN THAT PORTION.
You are an assistance superintendent responsible for oversight of school safety, security and emergency management. You report to the superintendent.
If you have chosen a college campus, then you are the Assist Vice President for Finance and Administration with operational over sight of Campus Police (or Public Safety) and Emergency Management. You report to the VP of Finance and Administration.
2.Using the Four step process of Identify – Analyze – Prioritize –Engage and Influence Interest Matrix (from lecture notes)– Identify key stakeholders (Internal & external) and their roles in helping your school with the development of emergency operations plans.
Part II
Based upon your knowledge of the Incident Command System, National Manangement System and notes – Identify key stakeholders, and their roles/responsibilities for the following scenario.
Election Day is less than a week away and your school district or campus has election polling stations in several schools and/or campus facilities.
Your school/campus has received several vague & anonymous phone threats of potential bombing at an area school on election day. The current political climate is tense with some violence occurring at various campaign events and protests across the nation.
3. Using the key stakeholders, you have identified; present what planning and precautionary actions you believe would be necessary.
THE PLAN SHALL FOLLOW THE INCIDENT COMMAND SYSTEM AND NATIONAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM STRUCTURE. ALSO AS MENTIONED ABOVE THE NAME OF THE LOCATION/SCHOOL WILL BE ENTERED BY ME.
