This assessment is about planning a lesson with art integration. I will upload an example file. It’s a group project and I am only doing one lesson plan, ( not the whole thing). 1. Our chosen topic from the curriculum is: (Historical knowledge: Community, remembrance ,and celebrations.(Levels 3 and 4) 2. My lesson plan is; to Students will be introduced to cultural dances. Students will be shown a variety of videos that demonstrate a community of different cultures and their traditional dances. Students will also be taught about where the dances originate from and the possible meanings and use behind them. Each student will then be asked to share their own unique cultural dances with the classroom. Students will explain the meaning behind their personal dance and why it’s important to them. This allows children to appreciate cultures different from their own and shows that not everyone is the same and that everyone should be accepted no matter what they look like or where they come from. 3. my outcomes are : Students grow in their own self-awareness and expand cognitive learning. -Students will develop a sense of belonging and identity as their cultures are acknowledged and valued 4. my assessment is :Students will be asked to present a dance they feel is important to their culture. They will be assessed by direct observations on their comprehension, participation, and collaboration skills. Students will be given marks if they are able to follow directions, remember steps, understand patterns and associate movement with emotional expression.
