Assessment – Data Analysis Poster Task This summative assessment is the first of two parts and takes the form of a poster presentation and recorded verbal presentation. PowerPoint, seems ok, again, it needs to be presented in a way that meets LOs and shows level 6 ability, not just a bulleted list answering the questions..hope that makes sense Stage 1 Watch these micro-lectures by Bob Hogg: SSP Interface Video (Links to an external site.) Loading Dataset video (Links to an external site.) Manual Data video (Links to an external site.) Data Analysis Part 1 video (Links to an external site.) Data Analysis Part 2 video (Links to an external site.) Data Analysis Part 3 Video (Links to an external site.) (don’t think you will need a copy of the videos but if you find any difficulties I can record and send the micro lectures) Stage 2 You then need to analyse a set of health data, using both descriptive and inferential statistics, and make recommendations for healthcare. This first summative assessment counts as 30% of overall mark. You should use the CLOSER data that are shown here in Bob Hogg’s video clips. You will need to register with CLOSER and the link for this set of data is here: https://www.closer.ac.uk/ Stage 3 You should then develop a poster in the form of ONE POWER POINT SLIDE. Please see guidance below on how to record over your poster. There is no word count, however your recording should be no longer than 10 minutes (+10%) and the usual penalties for going over the word count will be applied (see link to policy below). Also, if you go over the one power point slide and use more , you will also be penalised. You also need to include citations in your power point poster, and again, if you don’t reference your theory/models etc, you will also be penalised. Please find find here a template that you may want to use for your power point slide Poster template module 9 assessment 1.pptx ( will send the template) Please note that although I have bullet pointed elements that need to be included in each section, you need to be presenting the poster in a way that meets the LOs below and which shows level 6 ability. Upon successful completion of this module and to pass the written assignments, you will need to meet and demonstrate the following learning outcomes: -Select and apply statistical techniques to complex datasets using a statistical package, for example SPSS, R or excel, and accurately interpret and communicate the findings. -Analyse, present, evaluate and interpret quantitative data and research findings in order to develop arguments and make sound judgements in accordance with theories and concepts of nursing and healthcare.
