Discussion #1: How Does AI/Machine Learning Impact Business Decisions?
In this course, we will talk about the different generations of technology. The current generation (5) are our smart devices – Alexa, Ring doorbell, smartwatch, smart refrigerator, etc. Via this discussion, we will research different Artificial Intelligence (AI), web 3.0, and machine learning technologies and products. We’ll examine how they impact businesses and our personal lives.
#1: Read The Evolution of the Computer Age in your Connect e Textbook. To access, click the Table of Contents icon on the textbook, scroll to the bottom to read the appendix.
#2: Next, read this brief article (Links to an external site.) on how AI is used in business, and this brief article (Links to an external site.) on the differences between Web 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0.
#3: After reading, answer the following questions:
Find an AI/Machine Learning (Web 3.0) product. Describe how is this used.
How does it impact business decisions? If it doesn’t explain why it doesn’t have an impact on business.
Does this technology also have personal uses (i.e. at home)?
After reading the Appendix on the 5 Generations of Technology, do you think there will be a 6th Gen? If so, what will it be?

After you have posted your answers to the questions (250 words or more), reply to at least two (2) other student’s postings (3-4 legitimate sentences).
