2) Equiano’s narrative differs from Jacobs’ and Douglass’ in that he experienced and depicts what it was like to be displaced from his African home and the “horrors of the slave-ship,” also known as the Middle Passage. In what ways does this experience contrast with that of Jacobs and Douglass who were both born into slavery?
