Examine the document “Curriculum Specifications: English Language Form 1, 2003” produced by the Ministry of Education of Malaysia. This can be found in the readings folder in Canvas. Focus on pp. 1-24 of the document.
a) Critique and discuss how aspects of the environment analysis may have been considered in the national curriculum for Form 1. (50 %)
b) Imagine that you were part of the original team of curriculum specialists tasked to design the Form 1 curriculum in 2003. Discuss briefly the kind of needs analysis that you would have to conduct first. Include samples of the questionnaires and interview questions that you could have used for your target stakeholders (50 %)
