Conduct a Personal SWOT Analysis to assist you in developing your Personal Development Plan focused on a career in your major program area of study (Strategic Leadership). SWOT stands for Strengths, Weaknesses, opportunities, and Threats.
In a personal SWOT, the focus is to assess your own SWOT issues.
A personal SWOT analysis, when done mindfully, is a powerful tool that can help you to determine self-improvement and personal growth goals, educational or training choices (Is graduate school needed? Are professional certifications required?) and to narrow your career path, identify career goals and objectives, and identify growth opportunities. A SWOT self-assessment will also provide a basis for a personal vision, goals, and objectives to achieve that vision.
For this assignment, you will review the information at this link (https://www.mindtools.com/pages/article/newTMC_05_1.htm), which presents a tutorial and guidance about how to conduct a personal SWOT Analysis. This exercise will require some personal insight along with the knowledge and insights you have gained in your research conducted in Units 1 and 2 (I have attached Units 1 and 2 assignments for your reference) and the additional research you may conduct in this Unit 3.
In completing your personal SWOT, consider the type of organization in which you desire to work if you are not working in your desired professional field and role currently (I plan to work for the Department of Defense, maybe for the Veterans Affairs Office or the Forest Service in the mountain time-zone, as a Contracting Officer upon completion of my bachelor’s degree. This is what I did for the Air Force for the last 10 years while I was active duty. I am no longer active duty. A bachelor’s degree is required to work in the career field if you are not an active duty member). You will write a paper of at least 2,000 words, focusing on your personal SWOT Analysis, using your own words, synthesizing your research with your SWOT results. At a minimum, call upon and cite the research sources from your research in Units 1 and 2 (attached for reference); any additional research (in credible sources) you have conducted to support your SWOT Analysis; and your SWOT Analysis itself.
Please organize your written assignment as follows, in light of and with reference to a career goal within your major field of program study (Strategic Leadership):
Abstract;
An Introduction that explains the reason for your personal SWOT Analysis and your process for conducting it, as well as the intent for how the findings will be helpful and utilized for a Professional Development Plan; Your Personal SWOT Analysis, focused on your Professional Development. In your discussion for each element of your personal SWOT Analysis, explain each finding, its relevance to your major program field of study, and explain why it is important.
Organize your paper in this order to highlight the SWOT elements of your Analysis in detail, as follows:
1. Your personal Strengths assessment;
2. Your personal Weakness assessment;

A Conclusion that summarizes the SWOT factors that are important to your Personal Development Planning process.
