Find a movie, documentary or book that deals with any of the following topics covered these past four weeks: Multiculturalism Democracy Environmental Justice Peace Human Rights Hunger War GMOs Justice Poverty Terror Contraception Write a 2 page paper analysis or critique of the movie, documentary, or book from an ethical perspective using the materials covered in the past four weeks. Feel free to question the ethics of the author or filmmaker and feel free to point out the complexities and contradictions raised by the work you decide to explore. Feel free to question your own biases and prejudices, while comparing and contrasting your own views, beliefs, and practices with the specific cultural context of the work you have chosen to analyze. This will be a test of the skills you learned in the last few weeks. It will be graded based as much on your critical thinking and analysis as your ability to write a paper….i.e: Do you have a clear and concise thesis statement? Are you able to focus your supporting arguments in the ensuing paragraphs on that thesis statement or do you roam away from it? Have you researched and support your arguments with citations? Are you using APA 7 format? This should be an easy test but sometimes a 2 page paper can be more difficult than writing a longer one if you aren’t focused on your thesis and supporting it properly.
