In this Assignment, the teacher wants to understand emotions • She observed her learners while doing their Mathematics and English First Additional language tasks • She recorded everything that was going on. • The data or information she gathered showed that some students experienced positive emotions while others experienced negative emotions during the task completion. • The negative emotions included: Frustration, boredom, annoyance, anger, lack of interest and anxiety. • This is a concern for the Teacher. • How can you help the Teacher? Part 1 Design intervention strategies or guidelines that will address six negative emotions. Use motivation and behavioural theories (and any relevant model) to design these strategies. Four (4) theories should be analysed. Examples: • Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs • Observational Learning • Behaviourist theories You may identify any Model you want to test for this task. Assignment structure: 1. Introduction: One paragraph In this section you need to explain the purpose of your task and introduce the theories that you have identified, and are relevant to address the task. 2. Body: Several paragraphs In this section, you need to write strategies to address negative emotions experienced by Lorato’s learners Divide your sections into headings and paragraphs 3. Conclusion: One paragraph In your conclusion, explain why you believe the strategies will help solve Lorato’s challenges Part 2 Explore the association/relationship between good learner performance and recreational activities for your class Your Task 1. Show respect to your participants • The interview guide consists of 5 sets of questions: • Set 1: “I play” has 5 questions • Set 2: “I watch TV” has 3 questions • Set 3: “I sleep” has 3 questions • Set 4: “ I cook” has 3 questions • Set 5: “I do my homework” has 2 questions Altogether 16 question.
