You should edit the information sheet (see attached) informing participants what they can expect from the experiment so they can decide whether or not they want to participate (e.g., what kind of task they will do). This is similar to a consent form, but they are not required to sign their name. This is where you should specify that they need to be at least 18 years old to participate. Also, when describing the study to potential participants, don’t give away too much information about the experiment. In other words, do not tell them what we are manipulating or predicting. Choose a study title that does not reveal the IVs or DV. Edit the template attached below.
Write out a debriefing sheet that explains the purpose, method (including the conceptual variables and operational definitions of IVs and DV), and hypotheses of the experiment. You should include a few scholarly references in APA-style (so they can learn more about the topic) and your contact information (if they have questions about the experiment). See an example attached below.
