Part One: I think of this podcast as a good conversation starter when it comes to media literacy. How do we spread the truth on the Internet? How do we get rid of the lies? How do we tell the difference? Facebook and other social media sites have started fact-checking posts in the last couple years. Should they? Is that enough to combat potentially harmful misinformation?

Part Two: I always find the titles of This American Life episodes very meaningful (see “The Problem we all Live With” from last week, a reference to the Norman Rockwell painting of Ruby Bridges). The title of this episode, “Beware the Jabberwock,” comes from Lewis Carroll’s poem “Jabberwocky.” Read the short poem, then comment on why This American Life chose to reference it in the title of this podcast.
