“Planet Four.” The topic of Planet Four is how and why astronomers studying Earth’s planet Mars. In this assignment you will be completing Parts I and II.
Part I: Introduction to rudimentary concepts involved in studying Earthen and Martian environments. You will begin by answering some questions about what you already know about science, Mars, and the Earthen study of Mars.
Part II: You will complete some training on how to identify Martian features, and then contribute toward the scientific study of Mars. This is called Citizen Science, when people around the world who are not scientists, help scientists do work that is beyond their capacity.
