1. Family relationship: compare and contrast the two sets of family relationship, one elaborated a lot in the Odyssey (Telemachus, Odysseus and Penelope), one mentioned a bit in the Odyssey and elaborated more in the Oresteia, a trilogy of Aeschylus, an ancient Greek tragedian (Orestes, Agamemnon and Clytemnestra). What happens to each one of them so that they have a very different understanding to each other? And how do these experiences or memories affect the way they treat each other? 2. Aeschylus’ Agamemnon: compare and contrast the view on “justice” and “injustice” between Agamemnon and Clytemnestra. How do their different points of view on these concepts make them choose a different path of life, and then lead to the destruction of their own?
