Write a paper of approximately 10 pages in length (that is, not including the cover page nor the bibliography, but 10 pages of content) on the following topic. Remember that the paper is due on Sunday, June 5 and it’s worth 100 points towards your overall grade. Should you choose to turn it in after that date it will automatically be lowered by one letter grade.
Pick an issue in International Relations that interests you. Proceed to research your topic (i.e., war, cooperation, interdependence, role of morality in IR, humanitarianism, globalization, international law, institutions, etc.) and analyze it using some of the major theories in IR that we would have covered throughout the course. By using some of the tenets, assumptions, beliefs, of the theories you will be able to ascertain their usefulness, strengths, and weaknesses in terms of their explanatory power to help answer questions about your specific topic in world events.
