Foundations of Health Promotion
In Chapter 1 of the textbook, Fertman and Allensworth (2017), explain some of the foundational principles associated with the development of health promotion programs. Additionally, the authors provide insight about the current state of health promotion in the US. In the initial post for Unit 1, describe how the changes in health promotion over the years impact what we do today to manage population and individual health. Also, explain why the Social Determinants of Health are and will continue to be an interacting force in the efforts to keep populations and individuals healthy.
Please note that one initial post and at minimum two response posts to classmates are required weekly for a chance at full credit. Please think critically and apply this week’s main concepts in the initial post and extend the discussion with reflection and new ideas in the response posts. Posts should include APA-formatted reference citations in the body of the post and listed at the end.
