Suppose you are assisting a business looking to relocate to Dallas Fort-Worth. Housing for their workforce is a major consideration for the city they will choose to locate. The business has narrowed its search to three cities: Allen, Plano, and Wylie. The organization has asked you to provide a data analysis on the housing market in these cities.
Download the Collin Central Appraisal District data set, which includes a sample of homes in the three cities built since 2011. Create a report that provides descriptive statistics, data visualizations, and a written analysis of the variables identified below. Include each of the following three variables in your report: living area (square feet), number of bedrooms, and market value.
Calculate the mean, standard deviation, and the sample size for the three variables for each city.
Create a table of the frequency and relative frequency of each variable for each city. Use the bin widths identified below.
Living Area: 5 bins with a width of 1,000 square feet. Frequency and relative frequency of homes with less than 1,000 SF, 1,000 – 2,000 SF, 2,000 – 3,000 SF, 3,000 – 4,000 SF, more than 4,000 SF.
Number of bedrooms: 5 bins with a width of 1 bedroom. Frequency and relative frequency of homes with 1 bed, 2, bed, 3 bed, 4 bed, more than 4 beds.
Market Value: 5 bins with a width of $100,000. Frequency and relative frequency of homes with a market value less than $200,000, $200,000 – $300,000, $300,000 – $400,000, $400,000 – $500,000, greater than $500,000.
Using the data created in Step 2, create three tables, one for each variable, that compares the frequency and relative frequency for each City.
Using the data created in Step 3, create three frequency histograms, one for each variable, comparing the frequency for each City.
