Format the submission cover page your name, reflection #, articles/books addressed. Please refer to authors using their last name, never their first name. Audre Lorde will be Lorde or Audre Lorde NOT Audre.
One paragraph should state what you think the article is about as clearly as possible. Keep quotations short, I want to know what you think about what you have read. What are the primary ideas in the articles? What do the authors want us to think about?
After you have provided an overview of the two pieces, think about how the two pieces compare with each other. Are the authors addressing the same topic? Is one offering an analysis of structural inequity and the other an individual, experiential analysis? Have they given you new concepts?
What did you learn?
These are just questions to help you craft your ideas, but nothing beats a careful, considered engagement with what you have read. You will not receive points for superficial engagements.
