The project will consist of the following: • An introduction giving background information on the company. In addition, a desсrіption of the company and industry to which it pertains, including a history of the company. • A discussion of the calculated financial ratios of the company and their significance. Focus should be given to key ratios that are particularly important to your company or industry. • A horizontal and vertical analysis of the company’s two most recent years of the financial statements (Balance Sheet and Income Statement). • Financials with a written analysis of any significant changes. • A SWOT analysis of the company. o Strengths and weaknesses are internal factors affecting a company’s performance. Strengths describe what an organization excels at and what separates it from the competition: a strong brand, loyal customer base, a strong balance sheet, unique technology, and so on. Weaknesses areas where the business needs to improve to remain competitive: a weak brand, higher-than-average turnover, high levels of debt, an inadequate supply chain, or lack of capital. o Opportunities and threats are external factors affecting a company. Opportunities refer to favorable external factors that could give an organization a competitive advantage. Threats refer to factors that have the potential to harm an organization. o Information on the competitor with a synopsis of their financial strength as compared to your company using a SWOT analysis. Compare the competitor to the primary company and comment on the differences. o On the second page, include current financial information on both the company and competitor. • An overall conclusion as to the results of your analysis and recommendations made.
