Write an essay in which you show how the meaning of James Holden’s quest might be understood more completely by applying any two of Dante’s four levels of analysis. Your essay will show how your chosen interpretive levels help us to see more clearly the novel’s important ideas. Develop a clear, specific thesis and support your ideas with carefully-chosen textual evidence.

What I have written so far (for writer’s reference):
Have you ever thought, “Are we alone in the universe?” If so, this book will pique your interest. Coming from the minds of Daniel Abraham & Ty Frank (joint pseudonym James S. A. Corey) is Leviathan Wakes. Executive Officer James Holden and a select few of his shipmates of the ice freighter Canterbury get caught in the crossfire of a sinister, genocidal private security company’s plan to test an unknown alien technology on millions of innocent lives, causing his new crew aboard the Rocinante to join arms with supposed terrorists, and be thrust into a mysterious, deadly game of cat-and-mouse, though neither side knows who’s who. James Holden and his crew’s vacillating sense of what is right and wrong stems from more than just Dante’s political level (which is an important factor in this novel), but on each crew member’s psychology and personal morals.
