The “A 115 Final Writing Assignment – Content Modules 4 & 5” is available in Canvas Files and through the link below. The assignment packet consists of a downloadable Word document in which you are assigned to compose and submit illustrated mini-reports on what scientists have learned about a number of different fossil and modern primates. For each page of the packet, I ask you to develop illustrated summaries of what is known about two of the three fossil or modern primates listed, in terms of skull and post-cranial skeletal structure, observed or inferred locomotor patterns, preferred habitats, diet, ecological role, social structure, etc.
Use the Doc Talks, recorded lectures, curated text, Doc Talks, handouts, study guides, assigned videos, and reputable internet resources (Wikipedia, etc.) to investigate each form that you select. You are encouraged to be creative, artistic, imaginative, and informative as you demonstrate what you have learned about the subjects specified on each page.
To begin, download and save or print the entire assignment, complete each section, including BOTH text and REQUIRED illustrations, and then save, scan or take photos of each page and submit the entire assignment through the Assignment page by 11:59 pm on SATURDAY, MAY 21, 2022. Text can be handwritten (preferred) or typed/word processed, and illustrations can be hand drawn (preferred) or copied and pasted from the internet. All XOX pages of this packet should be completed, scanned and saved as a PDF, scanned or photographed and saved as JPG’s, or completed and saved as a Word file (accepted file types: Word.doc, Word.docx, PDF, JPEG, or Google Doc) Files of completed assignments should be uploaded/ submitted through the Assignment page by 11:59 pm on SATURDAY, MAY 21, 2022.
It is not necessary for you to cite references! Cutting and pasting of images is allowed but all text should be in your own words. Using uncurated text copied from any source (textbooks, handouts, the internet, classmates, etc.) is discouraged and could result in a lowered grade.
