Argumentative Research Paper Assignment
Prompt: Write an Argumentative Essay in which you take a stance on a debatable, contemporary issue.
See the Power Point in Module 4 to help you determine a good topic for your paper. Choose a topic with
which you are relatively familiar, and use research to back-up your points that support your position.

Requirements:
* Your paper should be a minimum of 7 paragraphs. The total length of your paper should be 4-5 pages.
Your Works Cited page should be the last page of your paper, but does not count in the 4-5 page
requirement.
*Use MLA format.
*Your paper must be submitted through the proper link on Bb as a Microsoft Word document. It will be
run through SafeAssign.
*Use third person point of view. Your paper should not contain any instances of first or second person.
(This means you should NOT use any words like I, me, we, us, you, your, etc.)
* This is a research paper. You must use a minimum of 3 scholarly sources for your paper. These sources
CANNOT be any “wiki” site, like Wikipedia or general information sites like E-how. An example of a
scholarly source would be an academic journal. A good resource for finding scholarly sources is your
