For the paper, you’ll need to analyze the story based on your own close reading of the text. In addition to providing your analysis, you’ll need to incorporate some outside research. Since this paper is designed to demonstrate your ability to find, expand, and develop an idea you have about one of the selections we read, I want your ideas to be personal and original, clear and well thought-out, and logical and supported with evidence from text. Please remember that this is not a book report or review; this is meant to be an exploration of a theme you find interesting in the text.
The sources you use in your paper need to be presented in an MLA style works cited page. Your entry should include at least 3-5 relevant sources (not resources) including the citation for the primary text itself. Your will not include Wikipedia entries, dictionaries, or encyclopedias.
