Students will compare and contrast elements of different therapies within the context of a clinical case scenario (to be provided by the instructor). Specific guidelines are as follows:
Select three different therapies discussed this semester and apply to the case scenario posted on Canvas. The approaches must be pulled from three distinct theoretical approaches—for example, Beck’s cognitive therapy and cognitive behavior modification would not be considered two different therapies for the purpose of this assignment. (The therapeutic approaches you select should be based on content from the Prochaska and Norcross text and the material covered in SW 728.)
Compare and contrast elements of the different therapies within the context of the case provided.
Apply relevant concepts/terms from each therapy to the analysis.
Discuss the usefulness, goodness of fit, etc. of each therapy to assessment and intervention with this client/client system.
Identify and discuss potential biases and assumptions made by each therapy and how this could affect the therapeutic/intervention process.
Reference, discuss, and critique the therapies application to this case based on empirical evidence, giving consideration to culture, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, and disability.
Identify and discuss potential ethical dilemmas you might experience in working with this client and using these three different therapies with this client. Include specific references to the NASW Code of Ethics in your discussion.
The three Therapies to be used on the paper are: Person-Centered Therapy, Existential Therapy,Gender Sensitive Therapy. I will attach another student’s paper as an example so you can see how to do it, but DO NOT use the student’s work.It will be considered plagiarism. I will attach the book that you need to also use as a reference once writer is confirm. I will attach the NASW code of ethics so it can be used on the paper. I will also attach the 2 case studies that you have to use to complete the assignment.
