Write a 3 – 4 page (800-1000 words) essay
taking an event, trend or phenomenon and either explain the causes or
discuss the effects. An example would be the rise in obesity rates in
the U.S. – you could either focus the paper on the various causes of the
rise in obesity rates, or focus more on covering the effects of this
rise on society as a whole.
At the least, the paper should present a
clear thesis indicating the focus of essay (whether it will explore the
causes or effects), main points that review either the causes or
effects of the event, trend, or phenomenon, and end with a final thought
on the causes/effects.
