With one of its major focuses on both textual and visual rhetoric, Project 1 invites you into an in-depth analysis of how text and image work together. In politics, product advertising, education, business, and many other contexts, we see words, pictures, and/or sound coming together to send messages to their audiences.
Project 1 invites you to analyze TWO catchy advertisements (one ad is a vintage ad 1920s to 1970s and compare to one ad from 2010 to present) OR a analyze ONE catchy commercial that is interesting and presents an argument.
Must include a minimum of TWO images when analyzing the ads or FOUR visuals (screen shots) and the URL link when analyzing a commercial.
