System Requirements I am completing my program evaluation on a Mental Health Agency hbhs9.com but I am using a Program called The Bridge Drop in Center. I did an interview with the agency and I am attaching it to this. She also wants Timeline and Budget Justification which I was not able to get but we can just add an ideal budget in. Hinds Behavior Health The Bridge Drop-In Center Hinds Behavior Health’s mission/goal is to ensure quality mental health services for the citizens of Hinds County. They want to help those that are in a crisis of need so they can better cope with their immediate situations. Hinds Behavior Health has a program called The Bridge and it is a Drop-In Center for homeless individuals that has serious mental illness. The Bridge Drop-In Center is a safe and warm place for homeless individuals to go to help better themselves they offer basic needs to homeless individuals such as food, showers, toiletries, clothes, laundry, telephones, and mail services. The Bridge Drop-In Center has been in existence for 5 plus years and have serviced many homeless individuals and can service up to at least a 100 people a day and they do their best to not have to turn anyone away for services. The Bridge Drop-In Center have peer support specialists that have been through similar crises like their clients and can relate to their crisis and help individuals to build their social skills, self-confidence, self-advocacy, and support system. The Bridge Drop-In Center is a part of a Nonprofit agency and funded by grant funds. The Bridge Drop-In Center is located at 628 West Capitol Street Jackson MS 39203. I spoke to the agency director, and he informed that he has been the director of the program since it became apart of Hinds Behavior Health 5 plus years ago and that he is also a Case-Manager with years of experience with the agency. He spoke very highly of the agency and administration and stated that he has a very supportive administration and boss that is very supportive of the program, and they help to do everything possible to continue to see that the program continues to grow and meet the needs of those that need services. He also stated that that he loves his program, and he knows all the clients that come in on a day to day basic and he has built great relationships with them because he wants his clients to trust him and all his staff members. He stated that the clients are appreciate of the services that they receive from the center and often thank them for their services. Services that are offered daily is group therapy and individual therapy is offered as needed to individuals that need therapy away from the group. They also offer different activities to all that wish to participate. He also stated that the center goes to great length to offer everyone that comes through the door daily access to all basic needs, they have support groups, advocacy training, employment services, social service referrals, housing assistance, socialization opportunities and walk in mental health services which is located at the main office building. The Bridge Drop-In Center service adults that are age 18 and older that are experiencing homelessness or chronic homelessness who have a serious mental illness, substance abuse disorder, serious emotional disturbance, or co-occurring disorder. The director stated that the program is meeting the needs for the target population and they are helping the target population to be more self-sufficient because they help them to learn how to navigate the internet and use a computer, write their own resumes, teach them how to interview, and gain job placement, build a support system, social network, build self-confidence, achieve their goals, monitor symptoms, build coping skills and how to prevent relapse. The population is majority African American men and women and very few other races. The center receives donations from the community with basic needs items such as clothing, food, soap, toothpaste, deodorant, shoes, socks, etc.… The Center always welcomes donations because they are always in need of basic need supplies all year round. My personal thoughts about the program are it is a very good program, and the clients seem to be happy with their services, it appears that The Drop-In Bridge Center is meeting their goals with their target population because people are constantly coming and going and getting their basic needs taken care of and seem to be very content with being at The Bridge Drop-In Center.
