Case Study 3

Chapter 9
Facebook, Inc. v. Winklevoss (p. 206)
Ehlen v. Melvin (p. 208)
Chapter 10
SAMS Hotel Group, LLC v. Environs, Inc. (p. 237)
Alba v. Kaufmann (p. 238)
Chapter 11
Hubbert v. Dell Corporation (p. 250)
New York Yankees case (p. 258)
Do these five steps for each case:

1. Summarize relevant facts of the case:

Give your summary of the facts of the case. I prefer that you list a series of bullet points. You do not need to write entire paragraphs.

2. Analysis of the ruling or legal outcome of the case:

Analyze the outcome of the case (who won and why). Bullet points preferred.

3. Discuss how Christian principles would affect the outcome of the case:

Discuss the outcome in the light of Christian principles. Again, bullet points.

4. Answers to end-of-case questions:

Please number each question and answer individually. Do not incorporate all the answers into one paragraph. This makes it much easier to determine whether all the questions were answered.

5. Access case at FindLaw site and summarize the information there:

Specifically mention FindLaw. If you could not find the case in FindLaw, state that you could not find it. Please note that the rubric has a specific section entitled “Access case at FindLaw site and summarize the information there.” The FindLaw portion of the assignment is worth a total of 10 points. If FindLaw is not specifically referenced in the case study, the 10 points cannot be given.
