Task: Response papers should investigate the following questions in the context of the class:
a) Summary (What?): Identify the author’s main life events.
b) Analysis (So What?): Evaluate the narrative by outlining the social location and intersectional
aspects of their life accounts. In other words, how do we interpret the events of their lives?
c) Application (Now What?): Interpret the authors life in terms of “beautiful, ugly, and healing aspects
of their stories (Bell-Scott) What lessons was the author trying to impart and/or what lessons do
you take away from this life narrative?
Include either footnotes or bibliography and incorporate at least
1-2 REAL BAD NEWS sources in each paper
