Interdependence/Conflict between Secularity and Religion Are we in a post-secular era? Does the term post-secular age capture the reality of the present historical moment? If so how do we understand the secular consciousness and imagination that is prevelant in our times? What do we mean by secular and religious? This lecture wil contextualise (provincialise) the historical categorisation of secularity and religion. Despite apparent conflict it will argue that these two categories are interdependent giving rise to multiple secularisms and religiocities that form the sources (ontologies) of ethics.
