Since the 17th century, the Scientific Method has served as the foundation for conducting empirical research and formal inquiries across many fields. Some would consider it the opposite of creative processes and inspiration. And yet, at their core, these processes share many attributes, including a foundational curiosity and thirst for knowledge above and beyond that which is common.
Using various sources, discover the stages in the Scientific Method and the Creative Process. Provide the following for each:
List and explain the basic stages. Visually portray these processes. (You can use a hand-drawn sketch or any digital tools to create this visual).
Give an example that illustrates moving through each stage of each process.
Discuss the similarities and the differences in these processes.
Discuss the role of creativity and innovation in each. What part of each is creative and why?
