Discussion: Regulations and Their Impact on Services If an individual has been convicted of a drug-related offense, it can limit their ability to receive other essential services in the United States. They are often ineligible for federally funded public housing and food assistance programs. Reentering into society after incarceration is a difficult process that many individuals struggle with. It can be even harder if support systems set up to help vulnerable individuals are closed to them because of specific convictions. While this type of regulation directly limits access to specific services, other regulations can affect services in more unintended ways that can be positive or negative. In this Discussion, you and your colleagues will share how state or federal regulations have impacted the provision of services where you live and how leaders have adapted to adhere to the regulations. Consider the regulations in your area, focusing on those that most impact how services are provided to services users. ASSIGNMENT ( 2PARAGRAPHS) Post a response to the following: In your area of focus as an HSPP, what is the state or government regulation that has the most impact on the provision of services to service users? How have leaders adapted to ensure adherence to this regulation? Or In your area of focus, what is the most recent change in a state or government regulation that has impacted the provision of services to service users? How have leaders adapted to ensure adherence to this regulation? PLEASE USE APA 7 CITATION
