For this assignment, you’ll be doing the same thing. Think about a situation that you’ve been involved in recently that caused you to want something changed. You’ll be writing a personal narrative, supported by your story and more concrete forms of evidence, to encourage a change.
– Because these types of stories are shared on the web today, you’ll be creating this in the form of a blog post, similar to the stories we’ve read this semester. In this, you should combine your text with hyperlinks, images, videos, and other multimodal forms to make your essay appropriate for the genre.
In the end, you’ll be graded on your ability to:
– Develop your personal narrative to at least 1000 words
– Incorporate your own story as the driving factor behind your argument
– Incorporate more concrete forms of evidence to support the claims you make by using at least two outside sources
– Fully establish why this problem is a problem by showing who it affects and what those negative effects are
– Elaborate on the change you’d like to see happen, and why that change would be beneficial
– Incorporate multimodal aspects into your argument, including at least 3 hyperlinks, 1 image, and 1 video
– Use appropriate tone, grammar, and diction for your intended audience
