Transparency of quality data in healthcare has been promoted in the last decade with an emphasis on publicly reported data. Follow these directions:
Enter your zip code (32034) and select 2-3 hospitals to compare. You can scroll to see all the hospitals and click “Add to Compare” to choose the two hospitals.
After choosing 2-3 hospitals, scroll back to the top and click “Compare Now”.
Click on the tab titled “Survey of patients’ experiences”.
Click on “Show Graphs” in the green button to make it easier to review and compare. Scroll down to see all the categories included.
For the discussion board: In reviewing patient experience scores, comment on your findings and any other interesting facts you discovered, e.g. variations in quality, is one organization superior to the other, etc.
