PAPER INSTRUCTIONS AND GUIDELINES:
Your paper should be 4-5 pages (not including bibliography), double-spaced, with one-inch margins, in Times New Roman (or comparable) font (12 point).
Please do not include a cover page or retype the prompt. While writing your paper, be sure to support your argument with evidence from the given files and movie. Your essay must directly cite the relevant texts and other relevant course material. All citations must use the AAA/Chicago citation style for both in-text citations and for the works cited page
(for guidelines, see https://www.chicagomanualofstyle.org/home.html).
Your essay must be proofread and edited for spelling and grammar, and have page numbers.
In this paper, you will choose a film, and use the three readings provided to analyze and frame it within an anthropological context. You can indeed choose any film of your choice! Whichever film you choose, you can and should provide something of a brief synopsis of the film before proceeding to analyze a number of the film’s themes anthropological.
Your entire paper should not simply be a summary of the film. Your descriiptive summary of the paper should be approximately 1-2 pages. Ideally, even within this summary, you should begin to highlight some of the important themes that you will then examine the second part of the paper. In your paper, you should explore and examine how anthropology might understand the content of the film.
