For this assignment, choose a manager, role model, or other influential person that you consider a leader. This assignment requires choosing someone you have worked with, worked for, worked around, or know personally. You cannot choose a public figure (like a president or movie star) that you have not seen lead personally. With this person in mind, choose some of the leadership and management theories (stick mostly with Module 7 with Module 2 only if you need it) and describe how this Leader uses them. Be specific, and consider the following questions: – Describe this leader/manager. What leadership characteristics do they have? – Describe the theories you chose, and specifically note how they best match the leader, their leadership style, and any strengths/weaknesses they have? Are they any components the leader has that isn’t covered by the theories? – What insights do the theories give you about your leader/manager AND ESPECIALLY your own future/current leadership style? – What can you draw from the analysis to improve your leadership skills? Be specific – Are any of the skills or styles you mentioned particularly useful for Health Services Administration, or your future career in Health care? How so and what?
