E‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌ssay in political theory. Hi again, thank you for all your help in my political theory essays-I am contacting you for your valuable skills again. I have a 2200 words max essay which asks me to: Provide a critical analysis WEB DuBois’ account of the “problem of emancipation.” we have to base it off this one text : WEB DuBois, Souls of Black Folk, New York: G&D Media, [1903] 2019 Chpts 1-3, 5 Here are the directions given to us: Your answer should focus on the primary readings for this course. If you feel that other primary or secondary sources are necessary to compose your answers, that is fine, but your core response should be based on close readings of assigned texts. The essay should address the central question (highlighted in bold). The remaining questions are merely there to serve as prompts, which you might or might not find useful in composing your answer. here are the subquestions: What does emancipation (or freedom or liberation) entail in these accounts? How do they define or locate unfreedom or subjugation? If emancipation is not straightforward, what are the complications that need to be considered, according to each account? ‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌How do these accounts link social and economic freedoms with political freedoms? How do they think about the relationship between freedom and self-restraint? How might their account of freedom depend on the particular description of subject formation that we find in their text? We are as usual asked to : -A thesis does not simply repeat the arguments of the text. Ask yourself whether someone could disagree with or contest your claims—otherwise your thesis might simply be a description and not an argument. Often a good thesis explores the assumptions, implications, or the paradoxes that underlie a theory or concept. Hence a good thesis revolves around an unexpected or hidden insight into the text. -Pay attention to not only what an author says, but how they say it and their use of language. What assumptions, juxtapositions, play on words, conflations or oppositions do they deploy to help make their case? -We need to not only display the arguments and critically analyse the text but also say wether it is useful or not, what is important about it? does it change how we think? Why what we are arguing is important/interesting (the stakes of our argument?
