1. From CH 3: Internal structures are a part of the incentives offered in an organization. Look into any organization of your choosing: your own workplace, your college, the grocery store where you shop, an organization you hope to work at one day. Describe the flow of work. How is the job structure aligned with the organization’s business, the work flow, and it’s objectives? How do you think it influences employee behavior?
2. From CH 4: From this same organization, choose ONE job family. Describe the combination of methods and sources you think would best be used to update the job descriptions for those positions. Explain why these sources and methods are the best choices.
3. From CH 5: For the same job family/organization from above, what do you think would be a useful set of compensable factors to use in order to conduct job evaluation for those positions. Explain how you would go about identifying these factors? Should the organization’s mission or business strategy be reflected in these factors? Or are the more generic factors provided in the chapter plan useful enough. Explain.

Your active participation in the discussion forums is essential to your overall success this term. Discussion questions are designed to help you make meaningful connections between the course content and the larger concepts and goals of the course. These discussions offer you the opportunity to express your own thoughts, ask questions for clarification, and gain insight from your classmates responses and instructors guidance.
Most students will earn “Proficient” marks according to the rubric. You post must be exceptional to be deemed “exemplary”.
For your post (1), you must do the following:
Compose a response that fully answers all questions posed above (at least 300 words)
Clearly integrate material such as required and supplemental course content, when appropriate (make sure you are using proper citation methods for your discipline when referencing scholarly or popular resources).
Display a master of terminology and other vocabulary utilized in the chapter reading.
