Between the start of the term and the due date of this Professional Development Reflection, attend, participate in, or view a conference, presentation, event, or talk/lecture related to the future of higher education or a current issue facing any of the constituencies higher education currently serves (students, faculty, employees, or staff). Any recorded talks that students’ decide to view should have taken place in the past two years. Please refer to this list of sites for possible professional development events in which you can participate. However, students may choose to attend or view an event not included in this list. After you attend an event, conference, presentation, or view a presentation, post a reflection that addresses the following:
1. Title and brief description of the event
2. What did you learn from the event, presentation, or talk?
3. What is a question that remained unanswered following the event, presentation, conference, or talk? For example, do you want to know how this topic might relate to public institutions?
4. How will this information be useful to you in your chosen area of higher education?
