For this assignment, you will discuss a topic that is suitable for argumentation. In doing so, you will take a stance and then argue your stance by providing evidence. This assignment will incorporate elements of analysis, argumentation, and research.
Requirements:
Two to four pages in length
Must follow MLA format
Uses at least two reliable outside sources
Includes a correctly formatted MLA works cited page
Research analysis essays must specifically include:
An introductory paragraph that includes a thesis statement
Body paragraphs that advance the idea presented in the thesis statement
A clear conclusion
Outside information must be presented as direct quotes/credited summaries so to avoid plagiarism

Discussion forums
Social media posts
In other words, any website that relies on publicly sourced information written by non-experts
These topics are off limits:
Anything dealing with religion, politics, gay marriage, abortion, and the legalization of illegal activities
Home schooling vs. public schooling, the death penalty, and any other topic that was used as an example in class, unless you intend on taking the opposing side of the argument or use entirely different evidence from what was used in the examples
