This project focus on the importance of environmental issues specifically the restoration of everglades national park on Florida state politics. This paper requires students to consider two competing state goals and determine if these goals are mutually sustainable. Can Florida continue to grow its population and its economy through low taxes and cheap land while at the same time maintain its unique ecosystem? Using Michael Grunwald’s book The Swamp: The Everglades, Florida, and the Politics of Paradise as their main source student will produce a nine-page essay on the balance between economic growth and environmental restoration. Answer the following questions in the paper:
