By the time this essay is due we will have studied four ethical theories in a fair degree of detail (utilitarian ethics, Kantian ethics, virtue ethics, and contractarian approaches to ethics). So, for this essay, go back to your proposed ethics dilemma if revisions were required, then wait until those revisions have been approved and then discuss how each of those theories would be applied to your proposed dilemma.
As with the first short essay, address any information not found in the prompt which may change how these different theories would analyze your prompt (the age of the children, whether they know about the deal, or even whether they will want to share their console with their father). Also for this essay, remember that you are trying to apply these theories fairly and accurately.
For this prompt, your view, how you would handle the situation, or even how you might feel about different solutions is irrelevant. Just focus on applying the ethical theory (and its underlying theory of value) to the issue raised in the prompt. And, if you think a particular theory wouldnt view your dilemma as an *ethical* issue, then dont be afraid to say so, just explain why.
