State the nature of the problem indicated. For each of the topics below there is a
social, political or economic problem. Before you write a policy you first must
have a problem to fix. Your paper is not solely on the topics below. What is the
problem that led to the question below and how are you going to solve that
problem?
B.
Give specific evidence that a problem exists. This should include research, data,
numbers and statistics. Make sure you cite all research.
C.State your opinion on what should be done regarding your topic. Your opinion
should be stated in the thesis and later, the main focus of your paper.
D State logical alternatives for dealing with your problem. In essence, what do
others feel should be done about your problem? Their remedies should be
different then your own.
E. Recommend or defend a specific course of action. The last part of your paper
should be about what you specifically want done to solve your problem. You
should have research to support your position and your position should be
different than your alternatives.
F. Include a Work Cited Page. (Minimum of 5 legitimate sources) (MLA format)
NO WIKIPEDIA.
G. You MUST have in-text citations in your paper. If you include research that is
not cited, you are plagiarizing and will be given a failing grade. (ZERO)
H. PAPER MUST BE TYPED AND SUBMITTED ON OR BEFORE THE DEADLINE DATE.
FAILURE TO ADHERE TO THESE INSTRUCTIONS WILL JEOPARDIZE YOUR
GRADUATION.

these papers. NO EXCEPTIONS.
J. This paper should be in the 5-8-page range, typed, double-spaced, with size 12
font (Times New Roman) and one-inch margins.
