Write a paper on political advertising.
Political Advertising: If you choose this topic, then you will be required to write a research paper analyzing how advertising is used politics. You will have to comparatively analyze at least three different countries, three different political parties and study how those parties have communicated to their audiences through the medium of advertisement. You can look at ethical aspects of advertising; Communications (sources, messages, and channel factors; creativity in advertising and other such aspects.
Grades will depend on how well the student have integrated the understanding of theoretical frameworks and tools of coursework, as taught by the instructor, in analyzing the above topic and the level of maturity demonstrated in the grasping of academic knowledge and implementing it for the comparative analysis task as set above. Students must start with framing a research question, should demonstrate a thorough understanding of the topic, through their secondary research findings (facts and figures, statistics, data analysis etc. to strengthen their arguments is essential) and must have a well-developed critical analysis and recommendation section.
Learning objectives
The following Course learning objectives must be met by students for the project:
Demonstrate the role of integrated marketing communications in marketing and brand building using traditional and new media, including its ethical and legal considerations.
Examine integrated brand promotion components through the effective use of market research, media analysis and value proposition.
Evaluate the different media to deliver a coherent and unified advertising campaign message.
Develop an advertising campaign with a holistic perspective of integrated marketing communications planning approach.
Instruction: Minimum word limit: 2,000 words (excluding references and table of content, appendix etc.) Max. word limit: 3,000 words. Times New Roman, 12 font size, 1.5 spaced. There should be a cover page, page of content, acknowledgements (if you have any), a page of declaration that it is your original work (and not plagiarized). The document should also have an abstract/summary page. The document should have the following sections A) introduction b) background to the research c) research methodology/methods (Research question and analysis) d) conclusion. You can have as many subheadings as you want under these broad headings. Kindly number each and every subheading. Number each and every graph, chart, table etc. and all that should be added to your page of content. Also, appendix should be labeled and numbered, and added to the page of content. Finally, pay attention to referencing and the references that you use. This is an academic paper and be careful to use library resources and google scholar. The theoretical framework should be developed by reading academic research papers from google scholars and not google.
